NSP2 - July 3, 2009

The National Foreclosure Council (NFC) is a national, grassroots, nonprofit organization formed to address the unprecedented housing foreclosure crisis. Working with individuals, businesses, municipalities and various government entities at the community level, the NFC is teaming up to make a difference across our great country and re-establish the American Dream of home ownership.

The NFC is filing for NSP2 funds as a consortium of non-profit and for profit organizations throughout the United States and is working to put these dollars to work in the decimated American housing market. Recovery Act funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) are being competitively solicited to address the devastation caused by the recent foreclosure crisis and economic downturn. 

NFC is acting as advisor, both primary and secondary solicitor and is assisting other not-for-profit organizations in applying for a minimum of five million dollars to purchase, rehab and resell foreclosed homes throughout the nation. We invite you to comment on our activities and endeavors to positively and substantially impact the lives of those families and individuals hurt most by the current crisis and to assist those who can benefit the greatest from our efforts.

We are working diligently to create positive results but we need your help. It is our responsibility, each and every one of us, to make an effort and to make a difference. With your help we can create new jobs, develop Universal Design living as a standard, help at-risk families, assist those who have been displaced and/or left homeless by foreclosure, employ green technologies and revitalize distressed and blighted neighborhoods.
